Widows indeed (no family, without support, has good testimony, active spiritual life -prayer with trust in God, sixty plus years old, had been the wife of one man) in the body of Christ are to (1) be honored and (2) be assisted (socio-economically) by the church.
Widows who have family (siblings, children, or grandchildren) look to their family for socio-economic relief while younger (than sixty) widows are encourage to marry again.
Those in the body of Christ with relatives as widows are to care for those widows - such care and ministry pleases God while failing to care for them is like denying one's faith in Christ.
